For example in Macbeth act 2, scene 1 when Macbeth said is this a dagger which I see before me, the handle toward my hand? It means the feel for kill the king Duncan’s but abstractly.

For example in Macbeth text (act 1, scene 2) The captain of king Duncan’s said “Doubtful it stood, as two spent swimmers that do cling together and choke their art”. Is absurd but the captain want to says something true to the king.

Pathetic fallacy

Pathetic fallacy is a literary device that attributes human qualities and emotions to inanimate objects of nature.

For example in Macbeth text of Shakespeare’s it appears in act 1, scene 1. When the first witch said that they are going to meet in thunder, lightning or in rain. That are objects of nature.

Dramatic irony

Is a dramatic device that allows the audience to be aware of things that some (or all) of the characters in a text do not.

For example: in act 1, scene 4 of Shakespeare’s Macbeth, Macbeth speaks in an aside (to the audience) telling us that he is going to have dispense with the king’s son Malcolm in order to become king himself.
